Jason D. Nguyen Telehealth In Person
Licensed Resident in Counseling
Jason Nguyen is a Resident in Counseling, License #070401902, pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. Whatever brings you to therapy, you do not have to navigate it alone. Jason strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted.
Jason believes meaningful change happens within a therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and collaboration. He works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, identity concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Together, you will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and work toward greater confidence, emotional balance, healthier relationships, and meaningful personal growth.
Jason’s approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based practices, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, he works collaboratively with each client to understand their individual experiences, values, culture, and goals. His hope is to help clients experience those “lightbulb moments”, small but meaningful insights that can open the door to lasting growth and change.
As a Vietnamese American clinician, Jason also welcomes individuals navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, identity, and generational differences. Born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, he is fluent in English and Vietnamese and values providing culturally responsive care. He also brings over three years of experience serving as a youth group leader at a Vietnamese church, where he has supported adolescents in their emotional and spiritual development.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel uncomfortable, and Jason understands that reaching out to someone new is not always easy. His goal is to provide a space where you can show up as you are and feel supported as you work toward where you want to be. As you begin your journey toward healing and growth, Jason would be honored to walk alongside you.
Jason offers a free 20-minute consultation and provides both in-person and secure telehealth sessions with weekday and evening availability.
Jason offers therapeutic services at a rate of $205 for an initial 60-minute session and $185 for each subsequent 55–60-minute session. While insurance coverage and reimbursement cannot be guaranteed, Jason accepts Aetna, Cigna, most Virginia Anthem BCBS and CareFirst DC Capital Region plans, including FEP Blue, as well as out-of-state BCBS plans. All in-network insurance is billed through his supervisor. For clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement, Jason can provide a statement to submit to their insurance company.
Jason is currently accepting new clients.
