Intern in Counseling

Are you feeling stuck in a loop, overwhelmed by life’s challenges, struggling with anxiety or depression, or struggling to connect with your partner? Fela provides empathetic support and targeted therapeutic interventions to help individuals uncover and work through the root causes of their challenges. She is dedicated to supporting young adults, adults, and couples to achieve the well-being, clarity, and tranquility they desire while fostering personal growth.

Fela’s therapeutic approach is both comprehensive and individualized, designed to address the unique needs of each client. She does not employ a one-size-fits-all methodology; instead, she is committed to tailoring her approach to align with each person’s distinct journey. She utilizes evidence-based practices to navigate life’s challenges and stressors effectively. By focusing on a personalized and client-centered approach, her aim is to foster meaningful progress and promote overall well-being. For couples, she emphasizes rebuilding trust, enhancing emotional connections, and fortifying the partnership bond through effective communication and mutual understanding.

As a multicultural individual and first-generation African American, Fela is particularly dedicated to addressing cultural biases in mental health. She offers interventions that respect and align with clients’ cultural values, aiming to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and foster a more inclusive and respectful counseling environment.

Fela Osifade is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling, Concordia University Irvine. As a counseling intern, she is working under the supervision of Marianne G. Shirilla, MAMFC, LPC-S, LMFT, and Dr. Debra L. Rezendes, PhD, LMFT. Fela offers a free 20-minute consultation. To schedule an appointment, please contact Fela or by phone at 571-440-2999. You may also view her profile on Psychology Today.

Fela offers therapeutic services at a discounted self-pay rate of $60 per session.
